Privacy Policy

Overview
PC Rituals is local-first. The Windows desktop app runs modes on your PC, and phone control travels over your local network. We do not sell your personal information.
Information stored locally
The Windows desktop app stores modes, actions, settings, provider configuration, pairing state, and license state locally on your PC. Phone apps may store your PC address, a pairing token issued by your PC, a PC MAC address when available, cached mode names, favorites, and setup state on the phone.
Information shared with your Windows PC
When you pair or use a phone app, it sends local-network requests directly to the PC Rituals Windows app. These may include a temporary pairing code, a saved bearer token after pairing, mode names, power commands, and status requests. The phone asks your Windows PC to perform actions; it does not execute Windows actions itself.
Camera and local network access
Camera access is used to scan the pairing QR code shown by your Windows PC. Local-network access is used to communicate with that PC over your Wi-Fi or LAN. The pairing QR contains connection details and a temporary code, not your permanent bearer token.
License activation and payments
Activating or validating a Pro license may contact PC Rituals services and Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy processes purchases and subscription management and may provide us with order, customer, subscription, license, and product information needed to grant access and support the purchase. We do not receive full payment-card details.
Website, waitlist, and support
If you visit the website, join a waitlist, make a purchase, request support, or contact us, we may receive information you submit, such as your email address, order details, survey answers, and message. The website may use basic analytics and hosting logs to understand traffic and keep the service reliable.
Setup-link emails
If you request a Windows setup link, we send your email address to Resend to deliver that one-time email. This does not subscribe you to marketing messages. We use hashed email and network identifiers for short-term send-rate limits. Setup links contain campaign labels, not your email address. Website analytics can distinguish visits and download attempts from Instagram and setup emails; these events do not include your email address.
In-app support tickets
If you submit an in-app support ticket, we store your email address, issue category, message, the screen where you requested help, and the app and Windows versions. If you choose to include diagnostics, the ticket may also contain the local-agent state, local network adapter names and addresses, and the error currently shown. Diagnostics never intentionally include license keys, pairing codes, tokens, or personal files. Resend processes the ticket emails sent to you and PC Rituals support.
Anonymous product analytics
PC Rituals may send anonymous product events such as a download starting, the app opening for the first time, a mode being created or run, and whether a connected phone is iOS, Android, or unknown. These events use a random installation identifier and broad product metadata. They do not include mode names, game names, file paths, website or Spotify links, license keys, machine names, or pairing codes.
Affiliate attribution
If you visit the PC Rituals website through an affiliate link, Lemon Squeezy may create an anonymous referral identifier or use similar browser storage to attribute a qualifying purchase to that affiliate. Our current affiliate attribution window is 30 days. This information is used to measure referrals and calculate affiliate commissions.
What we do not do
The phone apps do not include advertising SDKs, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use personal data for third-party advertising. Routine commands are not relayed through a PC Rituals cloud service.
Security
Pairing tokens are intended to prevent unauthorized local access. Pair only on networks you trust, keep your license key private, and reset pairing from the Windows app if a device should no longer have access.
Data deletion
You can remove locally stored phone data by resetting pairing or deleting the phone app. You can reset mobile access from the Windows app and remove local desktop data by uninstalling and deleting its app-data folder. Contact us to request deletion of information submitted through the website or support channels, subject to records we must retain for legal or transaction purposes.
Children
PC Rituals is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as PC Rituals changes. The effective date will be updated when we make material changes.
