Set up and troubleshoot PC Rituals
PC Rituals runs locally on your Windows PC. Phone control requires the phone and PC to be on the same Wi-Fi or local network.
Installing PC Rituals on Windows
- Open the Download page and select Download for Windows.
- Run PcRituals-win-Setup.exe and follow the installer.
- Open PC Rituals and allow it through Windows Firewall on private networks when prompted.
- Complete the setup checklist. Keep PC Rituals running for phone control.
Pairing iPhone with PC Rituals
- Download PC Rituals on the App Store.
- Connect the iPhone and PC to the same Wi-Fi or local network.
- Open PC Rituals on Windows and select Phone.
- Open the PC Rituals iPhone app, choose pairing, and scan the large pairing QR code.
- If scanning fails, enter the six-digit pairing code and the local Phone URL shown on the PC.
Pairing Android with PC Rituals
- Download the Android APK directly. Android is not on Google Play yet.
- Connect the Android phone and PC to the same Wi-Fi or local network.
- Open the Windows app, select Phone, then scan its pairing QR from the Android app.
- Approve local-network access if Android asks for it.
Creating your first mode
- Select Modes, then New Mode.
- Name the mode for the setup you want, such as Work or Gaming.
- Select Add Action and add apps, websites, music, launchers, lighting, or wallpaper in the order they should run.
- Select Save, then Run to test it.
Running a mode vs switching modes
Run starts the selected mode's actions. Use it when no other PC Rituals mode needs to be cleaned up. Switch transitions from the active mode, closes its configured stack, then starts the selected mode.
Enabling Wake-on-LAN
Wake-on-LAN usually works best when the PC uses Ethernet. Sleep is usually more reliable than a full shutdown.
- Open the PC's BIOS or UEFI settings and enable Wake-on-LAN, PCIe wake, or the equivalent option.
- In Windows Device Manager, open the network adapter's properties.
- Under Advanced, enable Wake on Magic Packet.
- Under Power Management, allow the adapter to wake the computer and allow only a magic packet to wake it.
- If waking from shutdown is unreliable, disable Windows Fast Startup in Power Options.
- Confirm the phone, PC, and router allow local-network traffic. Guest Wi-Fi and client isolation commonly block wake packets.
The PC must still receive standby power, and its network adapter and router must support Wake-on-LAN.
Troubleshooting phone connection issues
- Keep PC Rituals running and confirm the Phone page says the local server is ready.
- Put both devices on the same normal Wi-Fi/LAN; avoid guest networks, VPNs, and cellular data while testing.
- Allow PC Rituals through Windows Firewall on private networks and allow local-network access on the phone.
- Reset pairing on the Phone page and scan the new code. Pairing codes expire.
- Compare the Phone URL with the PC's current local IP address if the network recently changed.
Troubleshooting Steam, Epic, Battle.net, and Riot
- Install the launcher, sign in, and let it finish any updates before refreshing Integrations.
- Launch the game once from its launcher so required setup and anti-cheat prompts can finish.
- Keep the launcher running if direct game launch does not reopen it reliably.
- Epic and Fortnite can have launcher-specific handoff behavior; try opening Epic first, then running the mode.
- If a game moved drives, refresh integrations and replace the old action in the mode.
Troubleshooting SignalRGB, OpenRGB, and Wallpaper Engine
- Install and open the provider before refreshing PC Rituals Integrations.
- For OpenRGB, enable its SDK server and confirm the configured port matches PC Rituals.
- For SignalRGB, confirm its local API/provider is available and the effect exists.
- For Wallpaper Engine, launch it once and confirm the selected wallpaper is still installed.
- Avoid running multiple RGB controllers that compete for the same devices.
Activating PC Rituals Pro
- Purchase Pro on the PC Rituals website.
- Copy the license key from the Lemon Squeezy email receipt.
- Open the Windows app and go to Settings → License.
- Paste the key and select Activate. Pro unlocks unlimited modes.
Known limitations
- The desktop app supports Windows only.
- The iPhone app is available from the App Store.
- Android is a direct APK download and is not on Google Play yet.
- Phone remote control requires the same local network, and the PC must stay awake and connected unless Wake-on-LAN is configured.
- Some launchers must be installed, signed in, updated, or already running. Epic and Fortnite may need launcher-specific handling.
- RGB and wallpaper integrations depend on the providers' local APIs and installed content.
- Wake-on-LAN depends on BIOS/UEFI, Windows adapter, router, network, and PC power-state support.
Sending feedback or support information
In the Windows app, open Settings and select Send Feedback. The draft includes app version, Windows version, local server and provider status, without including your license key or permanent pairing token. Add what happened and the steps to reproduce.
You can also email Mahdisul1@gmail.com. Include your Windows version, phone model and OS, app version, and whether both devices are on the same network.
